With My Time – Thirty Pieces

It takes much time sometimes to write.

It takes much time to sew.

It takes much time to call someone.

Some things take time, I know.

But time is all we have today.

It won’t be here tomorrow.

What will we have to answer those,

Who wonder why our sorrow?

I made some things that someone bought.

I stored this cash away.

I bought some things to bring me joy.

But want more of this day.

This precious time I searched the net

Reminded of my pain.

Tuggings at my heart of those unborn.

My gift can’t be in vain.

Pieces of silver a great reward

A betrayal when 30 was given.

A sinless man must pay the price

A cross….skin bare…nails driven.

Some too have paid with deep regret

To the devil and his deceivers.

“Cancelled out” my coins now….yet.

“Forgiven” does this for believers.

“Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.” (Romans 4:7)

Now retired from my sewing business yet all about the business of serving my family and creating things to sell in my store. I love to have some purpose left in me. I hope I can encourage others and bring the light of Jesus most of all to this dark world.
