Is it Enough to Just Exist?

The social distancing is doing more harm for society then the small percentage of deaths caused by Covid…even though one life lost is precious. Are we watering down too much of the truth in this situation?

I think the American people can handle the truth…undiluted. Give it to me straight! I like it that way. It is easier to digest. It tastes better. It goes well with anything. My post is about politics and my viewpoint for a Christian’s place in politics. We are stuck with one, and need the other, but both of them together will help society the best. It may seem I am all over the place in this post so forgive me for that. I wrote this with not too much contemplation.

From the start of this pandemic, I have always taken the risk to be with my family members, even close enough to hug them and kiss their cheeks. I would rather be stricken with a disease….that may not even kill me, but that I might actually overcome, and as a result build up anti-bodies too, which would be better for society. To be apart from family too long is more than just depressing for me. How long can any of us survive deep dark loneliness?

This is a VIRUS! It is not going away. So are we to live like this for the next 5 years? To live in quarantine and seclusion and away from church family and community worship indefinitely?

Are overblown stats, conflicting evidence, fear mongering, and watering down of the truth helping to keep death rates down. Why are suicide rates way up, domestic abuse, drug abuse and violence on the rise? Do these statistics matter? Does that mean anything to anyone?

We need God and our church family more than ever and yet….some Pastors choose to live in fear of the wrath of government and fines put upon them should they not comply to their governors mandates and laws put in place during this pandemic. So churches are still not functioning at full capacity and family members are dying….still. People die. People also get well.

Many have had Covid and recovered. As of October 16, 2020, there were over 39 million global cases of COVID-19. Globally over 29 million people had recovered from the disease, while there had been over 1.1 million deaths. So, why are we focusing on the deaths instead of those who recovered? Because when it comes to politics, some politicians like to replace facts with fear.

They will show part of the truth but accentuate on whatever will bring the most the negative outcome. Negative for us, but high rewards for them. They can fix the situation with empty promises and lies to get your vote. They use people like blacks. The minority groups. All the protected groups…just for votes.

They pander to them. That describes the entire democratic party. They haven’t changed in 200 years. Although, have gone further left in the last twenty years, at least since the Civil Rights movement. Their platform is always the same theme….”we will make better schools….more jobs….equal oportunities…fix crime in your neighborhoods, fix housing….free healthcare….free everything….just VOTE FOR ME!” They care less about you.

Scare the public, so you can control the public. That is Marxism. They don’t want the public to think for themselves. Don’t let them see the whole picture. Don’t let them hear the entire conversation. Pick and choose what you want them to hear, see, know, believe, do.

This is what the media and some politicians are good at. They wind us up and we go in any direction they lead us. Robots…..sheep….oh….did I offend someone? Pooh…pooh!

Resist the foolishness and let’s have a little common sense. Listen to ALL the science….not just what the fascist, communist, leftist media wants you to listen to. Some big tech monopolies and media block speech by only showing clips of what suits their agenda or shutting down, interrupting comments made who they are interviewing, if it challenges their point of view they want their audiences to have.

Fair and balance does not exist in our country as it used to. We never knew if a reporter was left or right leaning before. Now it is out there clearly and apologetically. Rush Limbaugh, Breitbart News, Epoch Times, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingram,
Daily Caller are more fair than CNN and MSNBC and others blatantly against anything and anyone and any progress in a positive direction made by President Trump.

If you are associated with President Trump or support him, you are hated and deemed a racist and a bigot. I have family members that have not talked to me since President Trumps election. That is the party of tolerance for you. They tolerate anything unless it is against their belief system and moral and ethical values.

This is political. Some say Christians should stay out of politics. I don’t believe that.
We have a place in politics. Consider the unborn….who will fight for them? Consider the
failed intercity schools and the degredation of the black community. Who is building
them up? Who is finding out where the money goes poured into these schools just to be
wasted on socialist causes.

Who is speaking to the black on black crime? Yet, the ELCAa couple years back was going to vote to recognize BLM as a legitimate social justice group….or something to that effect….according to a member who stood proud and excitedly before our congregation. She was to go to the Annual meeting in New Orleans.

This statement, in church, even after the BLM had blocked a freeway in Minneapolis just short weeks prior to this announcement. I wanted to walk out or at least raise my hand and counter her statement. I just felt church was no place to vent such rage I was feeling. BLM is a Marxist organization and one of the co-founders leaders of BLM said so. Don’t believe me, look it up. Does that matter to Christians?

So 50% of Christians sit on their hands and don’t even go to the polls, where change can take place. With the right people in office, it is the only way we can have a voice
other than holding our own protests, putting on rallys, civilly disobeying marxist-facisist
governing as is being led by Pelosi.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sparred with CNN host Wolf Blitzer on Tuesday evening, calling him a “Republican apologist” during a heated exchange over the holdup of coronavirus stimulus. During the discussion, pretending to really care about the Americans that are really struggling, and the homeless in her district, when said she quote “feeds those on the streets who are homeless” she tells Wolf Blitzer. Yet, out of the other side of her face she mocks them. In April this year, she mocked them, by showing off her pair of new $25,000 refrigerators and her gourmet ice cream collection at $12.00 a gallon.

We have hypocrites in Washington. It is a swamp and glad there is someone brave enough and tough enough to take them on. It is why President Trump is hated. He is exposing the lies….all of which he was accused of for the last 3.5 years or so that he was in office. He has been persecuted by the left, the media, Hollywood, and now the social media owners of the big tech companies.

President Trump has done more for our nation and for the safety of other nations, and the most pro-life president ever. Before Covid our economy was doing great. It is coming back. Under so much hatred, slander and wickedness, God has seen our President through.

Church is full of hypocracy. To be silent about political things, when we see evil, to me is being a hypocrite. If we really care about helping people, we will face the evil and call it what it is. We would bring evil into the light. Not just be passive and say, “God is in control and will take care of things. I will just pray.”

I think God gives us all gifts and we are to use them. He gave us all a brain. We are to trust in him. We are to look after widows and orphans. How many are without fathers? How many babies being slaughtered at Planned Parenthood daily?

“Several years ago, when 17,000 aborted babies were found in a dumpster outside a pathology laboratory in Los, Angeles, California, some 12-15,000 were observed to be black.”–Erma Clardy Craven (deceased)
Social Worker and Civil Rights Leader

4,000 babies are aborted every day.

What has our church done for the unborn ever?

It is a social issue yet also very political. Church does not want to get involved with politics. Our Pastors both don’t get involved with politics, at least one Pastor admittedly told me, they try not to. I get not telling someone who to vote for, but I don’t get not giving them some Godly advice or guidance on topics front and center during the times we live in.

We had a retired bishop fill in for our own Pastor one Sunday and at the end of his sermon he took a stand for global warming. He seemed to have no problem letting us all know where he stood on the subject and to tell us directly that it was definitive and factual in his understanding. He was unabashedly pro the controversial subject, and had no qualms about bringing such a hot topic on display in our holy place of worship.

I am disgusted at times with how some people honor the creation more than the Creator, but even more so a Pastor, church leader and in this case, a retired Bishop. None of us though, are without sin. I am far from a perfect Christian. But to love creation more than God who made creation, is a form of idolatry.

You dare not speak up against a lukewarm believer. If anyone goes against their comments, “OFF WITH THEIR HEADS” or forever be shunned by the congregation sharing the opposing views you have. I have felt this in my own congregation.

While churches pick winners and loosers, as far as what they will allow in sermons, songs or events held for their members, ….babies continue to be aborted, young blacks in Chicago continue to be killed by their own peers, drug abuse increasing, law and order breaking down, prostitution, domestic abuse, violence, illiteracy, poverty, satanism, lying and cheating and perversion by politicians are ignored topics that could be applied and compared to biblical principles, in the pulpit.

We are all spreaders of God’s Word even though we may not have gone to Seminary or where a robe. If we believe God’s Word is the inspired Word of God, and read it faithfully, putting it to memory as we are able, and meditate on it, God will put words into our mouth.

God will do the work he needs. God’s Word will not be void but will accomplish what he wants. (Isaiah 55:11) We need to help the lost. More than any other time we need to expose the evil that exists in our nation and the world.

Pastors have huge responsibility and one day will have to account for what they did or did not do. We each will be judged by what we have done and what we have left undone. Can you do something today to reach someone for the Gospel?

We are lukewarm if we do nothing to help all people in need of a Savior.
Lukewarm people are spiritually blind with a form of Christianity, but in reality, their hypocrisy is their religion. If I look good on the outside and leave people alone what is the harm in that. “Play it safe” Christianity is all that is.

If it feels good, it is good enough. If I keep a smile on my face and keep the peace and don’t make waves all is well with my soul. Who needs church, who needs God, who needs religion if that is all it has to offer.

I am not saying we should all go out and try to pick a fight with someone. I am not saying that we should have a response to anyone that says something we feel is not God’s way of doing something or even a small resemblance of Him.

Lukewarm people, the majority of them, hate being told the truth, or being corrected, or rebuked. When you do so,they tell you, “stop judging”. I had a young school aged girl I was babysitting tell me that when I asked her why she was destroying a book she was reading. They do not know the difference between judging and rebuking.

Jesus rebukes those he loves.

“Seek the Lord while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.
Let wicked people abandon their ways. Let evil people abandon their thoughts.
Let them return to the Lord, and he will show compassion to them.
Let them return to our God, because he will freely forgive them.” (Isaiah 55:6-7)

I like to write for the pure enjoyment of writing short excerpts about life in general. I would want my writing to bring inspiration or encouragement to the faint-hearted or those looking for some direction, purpose, or meaning. I am searching daily for what it is God wants me to do and who he wants me to become. It is a growing pain for me. We all have something new we can learn and share with others.
