Meeting Patience

Have you had one of those days where no matter what you do you get to spend more time with “patience” than you really wanted to? It’s easier when I can “fly off” with the handle.

Patience likes it when I stay calm even though I would just love to scream. She likes a quiet voice and also whispers in my ear…”breathe”.

She has been showing up more for me lately, than she used to. She comes knocking at my door just when I am having the most difficult struggle. I am usually surprised when she shows up!

I could not figure out a pattern for my crochet I am working on. I am almost finished, but until this one piece is finished I can’t go much further. Then, I ran out of one of the colors of yarn I needed, but luckily, Patience was near by.

Patience always reminds me when things aren’t the end of the world.

Patience always knows when I need her the most. Her timing is always perfect.

Today a link was not working on my blog posts? My user name brings people to a blank page. This is still not fixed.

Patience helped me find the right person to help me. She sat with me for over an hour while the technician tried to help. I miss the days we could just talk to someone live. Patience got me through.

My desk is a mess, but Patience reminded me of all the other things good in my life and put my mind in another direction of thoughts. Patience reminded me tomorrow is another day and what I was doing now was not my fault. She told me an answer would come in the morning.

Patience reminded me I had a load of clothes in the dryer that needed folding. She helped me load the dishwasher and wash by hand the larger things that did not fit in it.

Patience made me realize tomorrow is another day. I will go to the store and buy some yarn.

Patience reminded me to wait and not place an online order for some supplies I needed. She reminded me to look at my bank account first.

I am so happy for Patience or I would make foolish mistakes. I might be rude to a technician.
I might have overdrawn on my account by making a purchase without thinking. I might lash out at my husband for a small thing.

I think I will enjoy the company of Patience tomorrow too. I hope she will be around.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” (Galatians 5:22,23)

I like to write for the pure enjoyment of writing short excerpts about life in general. I would want my writing to bring inspiration or encouragement to the faint-hearted or those looking for some direction, purpose, or meaning. I am searching daily for what it is God wants me to do and who he wants me to become. It is a growing pain for me. We all have something new we can learn and share with others.

    1. Yes, it is very unsettling but we will get the government we deserve. People need to start standing up to truth and justice and defend others who can’t defend themselves. Forget the risk..if God is for us…who can be against us?
